What is College?
College is buying an overpriced meal plan despite your constant complaints about how bland the food is because hey, at least you didn’t have to cook.
college is going home for break to your parents judging your eating habits because apparently, outside of college, eating a bowl of mac n cheese at 11pm is not acceptable.
college is choosing friends over school and deeply regretting it when it’s 3am and you only have 6 pages done out of 10 and your paper is due in 5 hours.
college is setting an alarm for 8 o’clock, 8:15, 8:20, 8:25, and 8:30 and hitting snooze on all of them because extra sleep is sometimes more important than punctuality and you hate your 9:05 anyways.
college is where binge drinking is the social norm, and you’re only considered an alcoholic if you do it on Sunday-Wednesday.
college is falling for someone you thought could be the one and realizing maybe a little too late that they really ain’t shit
College is obsessing over someone that you always see around campus but never approaching them for conversation because you would much rather DM, them but tbh you won’t do that either
college is getting naked when you least expect it.
college is writing erotic poetry about a sex life you wish you had and cannot believe you still don’t in your early twenties
college is where going to bed at midnight is considered early.
college is questioning everything you knew about yourself and creating a new you as you sort through the confusion
college is a bunch of 18-22 year olds being forced to figure out what they want to do for the rest of their lives and drinking away the existential crises that come along with not knowing the answer to that question
and most importantly,
college is lit.
