J. Cole’s annual music festival, Dreamville, is back at Dorthea Dix Park from April 6 to April 7, but who will be performing?
The lineup for Dreamville typically comes out after February, but past artists included SZA, Ari Lennox, Lil Wayne, and Usher. But, the later announcement keeps everyone from speculating who will be there.
Here are four people anticipated to be at Dreamville this year:
Drake
Drake was at Dreamville last year, but he and J. Cole have a very close relationship, as shown in their performance together last year, so I doubt he would say no if asked to come again.
Also, Drake and J. Cole are on tour, which will end one week before Dreamville. What’s another performance going to hurt?
Ice Spice
Ice Spice is another newcomer on the rap scene with her independent releases and songs with Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj just in 2023.
The platform Dreamville gives would be perfect for Ice Spice to perform in preparation for her new album, Y2K, which she announced in January will be released this year.
Flo Milli
Flo Milli has been in the game for a while now; with her songs “In the Party,” “Conceited,” and now “Never Lose Me” trending on TikTok, it would be the perfect time for her to perform.
She also has a new album, Fine Ho, Stay, coming out this year, where Dreamville can be the platform to promote it, like Ice Spice.
Nicki Minaj
Minaj herself confirmed she would be at the music festival this year. When listing her dates for her Pink Friday 2 tour, she lists April 7 at Dreamville as one of her stops so that fans can look forward to that.
This should not be a surprise because J. Cole is featured on Minaj’s new album on the song “Let Me Calm Down.”
Ari Lennox
This one is not confirmed but is most likely a given. As a part of Dreamville Records, J. Cole’s record label, this would be the perfect space to perform in, as she has done for the past three festivals.
2023 was a quiet year for Lennox; she only released three songs, so Dreamville will be perfect for her to debut or announce new music for her fans.
With one confirmed and another very likely appearance, it will be exciting to see who will appear at Dreamville this year. Tickets for different packages are on sale now on the Dreamville Festival website.
